Why write for Maize Research?
Maize research includes a wide range of fields, from plant breeding and molecular biology to food science and sociology and much more. Often, we forget to share and collaborate with people outside our field. This limits our research potential and our ability to communicate our successes with the public.
Issues touched by maize range far and wide, including science, politics, ethics, and economics. We must consider these when determining their research plans if we hope for our results to have broad impact. Discussion can be a great way to consider these issues.
How do I start?
This is a group blog, and its strength lies in its regular authors who donate their time to help people learn about the various aspects of maize research. Both regular contributors and one-time authors are welcome to write an article for any of the existing Categories or to start an entire new section. Articles can be short or long, elementary or complex.
This website uses a blogging software called WordPress. You can find complete instructions on how to register and how to use WordPress to write an article on our WordPress tutorial page. Want to contribute but don’t want to deal with the web interface? No problem! Just type your article up in Word or similar program and email it to the Maize Research editors.
